Independent Living Centers

Independent living plays a critical role in the process of recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. The Way to Recovery centers provide clean, safe, drug-free living environments. This extensive network is available to assist clients transitioning from residential treatment and other individuals seeking a safe, supportive, drug-free sober living environment.

Independent Living Centers

At The Way to Recovery Independent living homes, residents safely experience the transition from higher levels of care back into the community and day-to-day life with a group of individuals doing the same. Homes are supervised by a House Manager and assistant who ensure that the living environments offer structure and strong peer support. Clients work, attend treatment, or attend school during the day and engage in recovery activities in the evenings.

Recreation and leisure activities are highly encouraged and available in each home and at the Campbell Community Center. Support Systems strongly believes that recovery should be fun. Extensive experience demonstrates that fun in recovery leads to a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

Residents must stay active in recovery activities and it is required three to five self help meetings are attended each week, all in-house meetings are attended each week and all other requirements for intensive outpatient are meet weekly.

Clients agree to random urinalysis as part of participation. We are also able to accommodate testing for court referrals, employers, probation, and other agencies as needed.

Some special needs that we are available to assist with include:

  • Referral to a vast network of community resources
  • Long-term Aftercare and Recovery planning
  • Extensive drug and alcohol education and relapse prevention counseling
  • Enrollment in Intensive Outpatient Program
